I kind of expected it to be awful but was pleasantly surprised by the film. Hellraiser is the next horror franchise to get a reboot. Everything about the mythos of the puzzle box and Pinhead was very much on point, I wished it would have been a bit gorier, was a bit tame, if I may say so. I didn't really care for the brother or the Nan-Lady. Some of the characters were forgettable, didn't have a lot to do and for a 2 hour movie could have been more fleshed out (whoops). It really has a modern feel, acting is pretty good, especially Pinhead (voice, costume) is A+. This one is a proper re-imagining and I really liked most of the movie. Those movies deserve their place in the all-time classics, although the acting in those movies was imho sub-par and as I recently rewatched them, I find the movie didn't age well in some departments (acting/sfx/logic). It is a cult classic and Pinhead one of the classic monsters.
